~*~Bugatti Veyron 16.4~*~
The Bugatti Veyron...WOW. This car is unbelievable. The name itself makes it one of the most expensive cars out there today. Its performance and 1001 HP will raise that price tag even more! Not only is this vehicle Fast and New, it is a pure luxury and performance car.
With only about 300 in the world, I am sure you want to see what the pro's have to say...
After four years of development, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, as it will now be called, is ready for series production. The most exclusive sports car of all time is following in the footsteps of the legendary Bugatti, those universally-coveted limousines and unbeatable racing cars of the 1920s and 1930s which today are among the most sought-after creations from the early days of automobile construction.
This brings to an end the era of design models and concept cars which since the late 1990s have signposted possible paths to the Bugattis of the future. Design and technological concept have finally become reality in the Veyron model’s final form and will be available from the beginning of 2004 as a strictly limited edition of just 300 cars. Technologically futuristic and packed with creative engineering, the first Bugatti of the 21st century has arrived.

Merging the Past and the Future
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4’s home is in Molsheim-Dorlisheim, the French town where, almost 100 years ago, Ettore Bugatti began to realize his lifelong dream of being a car manufacturer. The new workshop is not just where the engine and vehicle are assembled and tested, it is also the place where customers collect their Bugattis and drive them out onto the streets for the first time.
The aim is to turn Molsheim into an all-round Bugatti centre once again. While up to 70 new vehicles a year are built by hand in the new facility, neighbouring specially-equipped workshops are the scene of expert restoration work on historic Bugatti vehicles. Both past and future have found a new home here.
High Performance
The car’s safety systems have been designed to cope with its extraordinary performance, acceleration and speed. The single-piece carbon fibre monocoque alone scores maximum points in crash tests, while airbags give the driver and passenger additional protection. The high-speed tires designed specially for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 (for vmax. > 350 km/h), sizes 265-68 R 500 A (front) and 365-71 R 540 A (rear), incorporate a further innovative safety feature in the form of the PAX System fitted to the wheels and tires, ensuring safe handling even after sudden pressure loss. Another Bugatti Veyron 16.4 component with a safety element is the rear spoiler. As well as providing the necessary downforce during high-speed travel, it acts as a kind of ‘parachute brake’ during emergency braking. Once precisely-defined deceleration forces are registered the spoiler tilts and the additional air resistance this generates reduces the braking distance to that of a lorry.
The Art of the Machine
The W16 alloy engine developed by Bugatti for the Veyron 16.4 will have a special and absolutely unique place in the history of sports car construction. Its design employs the space-saving VR principle with two particularly slender eight-cylinder blocks arranged at a 90° angle to each other.
1001 horsepower equip the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with a level of acceleration unheard of in the sports car segment, propelling it from 0 to 60 mph in just three
seconds and past the 200 mph mark in a mere 14 seconds. Thanks to its 923 lb-ft, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4’s enormous propulsive power is not exhausted until it reaches 252.3 mph (406 km/h): the maximum speed for which chassis and drive train have been designed. Any further performance escalation is limited by current design and construction.

Also unique is the power transmission via an innovative directshift gearbox. Without any interruption in the power flow, the sequential seven-speed gearbox transmits the engine’s power to the wheels via permanent four-wheel drive. Put simply, this means uninterrupted acceleration from a standing start to maximum speed: a feeling previously known only to jet pilots.
Exclusive, Classical, Functional
Both exclusive and highly functional, the interior of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 will transport you to a world of your own. Superb leather, also two-tone if desired, quality metallic trim and beautifully designed and ergonomically laid-out controls characterize the Veyron cockpit.
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 instruments, with a large central rev counter surrounded by four smaller additional instruments also conjures up memories of the marque’s legendary motor sport past. The deliberate avoidance of superfluous instruments and modern extras are an unmistakable statement of the car’s uncompromising sportiness.
Unchanged on the series version of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the classical two-tone paintwork. The designers have selected five separate colour combinations for the car: Each of the combinations features the bonnet, roof and rear in the darker of the two colours, with the sides and front wheel arches in the lighter colour.

Buggati Factory in Molsheim
On Saturday, 3 September 2005, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. hosted opening festivities for the ‘Atelier’ in Molsheim, its new plant dedicated to production of the new Bugatti. At the same time, the company’s headquarters, the Château St. Jean, along with the neighboring buildings, were officially opened for their intended purpose.
Inspiring isn't it. This car is definitely a Fast New Car that will be staying on the top of the charts for years to come.

~*~Lamborghini Murcielago LP640~*

Since we are on the topic of Fast New Cars, we must mention a Lambo in here somewhere. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 was a good choice. Lambo's represent top-notch performance in the world of sports cars, but this one is like no other. Let me leave it to the experts.
This article of information on the new Murcielago sums up the car very well:
With the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the designers at the Lamborghini Style Centre maintained the traditional Lamborghini principles of purism, sport and function. The Murcielago LP640 now appears even more aggressive, with the new front and rear bumpers contributing significantly to its appearance.
The engine of the new Murcielago LP640 has undergone outstanding and radical modification. The classic V-engine is boosted to 6.5 litres. The already extraordinary 580 hp engine power has now been elevated to an impressive peak of 640 hp at 8,000 rpm.
The increase in power correlates with an increase in performance. The maximum speed is now 340 km/h (before 330 km/h). The excellent performance of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 means it can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than the previous model). Lamborghini engineers also improved the torque development. The engine is enhanced by a continuous variable timing system (intake and exhaust side) and a drive-by-wire engine management system.
Just like its predecessors, the Murcielago LP640 features permanent four-wheel drive, based on the reliable Lamborghini VT (Viscous Traction) system. The system is self-governing and does not feature any electronic controls.
Because of the "Privilegio" customisation program, any Murcielago LP640 can be transformed into a customised sports car. For example, the cockpit can be enhanced with an extremely refined carbon finish applied to the air conditioning control panel, the control lever console and the parking brake.

Now aren't you happy you came to my site just in time to see this Lambo. But these cars don't come cheap (sorry guys =D). I'll leave you to find the price tag =D .

~*~Ferrari F430~*~
Now we're talking about cars. The Ferrari F430---a true beast of a car. Lots of horsepower, got the looks, and definitely a Fast New Car. Personally, I love Ferrari's, but it doesn't top the cars below me :-)... So what's the specs? Here you go.
A great article to inform you on the performance and beauty of this new fast car:
The 2005 Ferrari F430 is Ferrari’s latest mid-engine V8-powered sports car, available as both a coupe and an open-top Spider, replacing the 360 Modena. The Ferrari 308 GTB was the first mid-engine V8 Ferrari and is one of the most popular Ferraris of all time. The 308 was followed by the 348 for 1990 and the F355 for 1995 before being replaced by the 360 Modena for 2000. The 360 Spider was added during the 2001 model year. The F430 continues the extensive use of aluminum for the chassis, body and suspension, which began with the 360 Modena. An optional braking system with carbon-ceramic discs will be available. The overall design of the F430 is very aerodynamic and includes elements used in racing, such as a flat underbody and a large diffuser that dominates the rear view of the car. The diffuser creates downforce and eliminates the need for a large rear wing, although the body does include a small lip at the center of the short rear deck. The design is much more aggressive than the 360 Modena, with sharper, chiseled lines and a less organic shape.

The 2005 Ferrari F430 is powered by a new 490-horsepower 90-degree 4.3-liter V8 engine that is very light and compact, while producing an incredible 114 horsepower per liter. A Formula One-style gearbox is used, reducing gear shift times to only 150 milliseconds. Performance figures from Ferrari promise acceleration from zero to 62 mph in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of over 196 mph. Two technical innovations that come directly from the Ferrari Formula One cars will be offered for the first time on a production car when they debut on the F430. They are an E-Diff electronic differential, and a steering-wheel-mounted switch that controls the integrated systems managing vehicle dynamics.
Now that we got that out of our systems, what do you think of it? Sure it's not the best Ferrari out there, but I think it gets pretty damn close. If you like this car, other favorites might be the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. Maybe we'll see more Ferrari's, Mercedes, and BMW's later on in this blog. For now, enjoy!

~*~Mercedes SLR McLaren 722~*~
The Mercedes SLR McLaren, where to start? Well, this is the most expensive in the Mercedes classes. You can probably see why. This car definitely makes it in to the category of Fast New Cars. The SLR was based on the 50's 300 SLR in the Mercedes class. Resembling a bullet, this car is by far my favorite Mercedes, leaving all others in its dust.
This article taken from a McLaren news site pretty well summarizes the beauty and speed of this astounding vehicle:
The new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren "722 Edition" has all the attributes of a thoroughbred racing car. Refined in numerous respects, this super sports car has more output, a tailor-made suspension configuration and a decidedly sporty interior.
A continuing tradition: the new model variant Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren "722 Edition" is a homage by Mercedes-Benz to the unforgettable victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Dennis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7.22 a.m.) at the Mille Miglia in 1955. With an output of 478 kW/650 hp and a corresponding performance, the new super sports car, which goes on sale in Europe on July 11, will not only make the hearts of car enthusiasts beat faster.
